As a Disney Travel Professional and mom of three (ages 13, 10, and 6), I recently had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for five nights. Our adventure included visits to all four theme parks and Blizzard Beach, making for an unforgettable Disney experience. Staying at this vibrant, tropical-themed resort truly enhanced our trip in more ways than one! We were able to visit Blizzard Beach Waterpark for free, because we were staying at a Disney hotel. This special offer is exclusive of Disney resort guests in 2025.

The Perfect Blend of Relaxation and Adventure

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort offers a laid-back island atmosphere while keeping guests close to all the action. Spread across six villages (each inspired by a different Caribbean island), the resort boasts beautiful beaches, swaying hammocks, and a lively main hub known as Old Port Royale. This was the perfect place for our family to unwind, do crafts, swim and grab a delicious bite to eat in the cafeteria.

Resort Activities for Every Age

One of the highlights of our stay was how much there was to do at the resort itself. The Fuentes del Morro Pool, with its Spanish fortress theme, slides, and splash area, was a hit with my kids. For those looking for even more fun, there are additional quiet pools, nightly Disney movies at the park, playgrounds, and nightly campfires with s’mores. We were also able to quickly jump on the Skyliner to head towards Disney’s Boardwalk area, and grab ice cream and quick service options available there. The sunset on the Boardwalk is top notch!

Dining Options at Caribbean Beach Resort

We loved the variety of dining options available at the resort. Our favorite meal was at Sebastian’s Bistro, where the tropical flavors and family-style dining experience were top-notch. They also offered us chicken fingers and French fries, for my youngest children who tend to shy away from bolder choices. Centertown Market provided quick and convenient options for breakfast and lunch, while Banana Cabana was the perfect spot for a refreshing drink after a long day in the parks.

Convenient Transportation to the Parks

One of the biggest advantages of staying at Caribbean Beach Resort is its transportation options. The Skyliner was a game-changer! It provided quick and scenic access to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. We stayed in the Jamaica village, and LOVED grabbing our morning coffee and some fun sweets each morning before hopping on the Skyliner. WE are so thankful for a Joffrey’s! Buses were available for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Blizzard Beach, and while they could be busy at peak times, they were reliable and comfortable.

Why I Recommend Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

For families looking for a moderate resort that offers fantastic amenities, immersive theming, and excellent transportation options, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is an outstanding choice. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, enjoying delicious island-inspired cuisine, or gliding through the sky on the Skyliner, there’s something for everyone to love. I love that a child-size pull down bed is available. These rooms are perfect for a family of 5! They also offer Standard 2 Queen Rooms without the child-size pull down and rooms with a King Bed only.
