I’m a huge fan of Star Wars, especially the Original Trilogy. So when I heard that Disneyland was shifting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to the Original Trilogy timeline, I was so happy. When we finally went to Disneyland, I was incredibly excited, but I was also a little nervous. I wondered if the changes would really make the land feel different.

The moment I walked through the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge and heard the familiar Original Trilogy opening fanfare and title crawl, I almost shed a tear. It was a simple change, but it immediately made the land feel like the Star Wars I had always dreamed of experiencing.

One of the things I was looking forward to the most was meeting Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. I was so excited to finally meet them, but I was also incredibly nervous. For a moment, I almost talked myself out of doing it. In the end, I took a deep breath and just went for it—and I’m so glad I did. They were wonderful to interact with, and it ended up being one of my favorite memories from the trip.

As someone who grew up loving the Original Trilogy, this wasn’t just another visit to Galaxy’s Edge. It felt like I had stepped into the Star Wars universe I had imagined ever since I was a kid, and I couldn’t wait to explore the rest of Batuu.
