So, you booked that Disney vacation! Now what? Depending on your booking dates, you could be waiting a little bit before your journey to Disney begins. Here are a few fun things to count down the days until your magical vacation!

1. Right after booking, create a countdown. This could be a board or a paper chain. Make it fun, so there is always excitement when that number goes down!

2. Make a Disney craft one night. Bring your own “figment” of your imagination to life, Disney style. My favorite craft is to make slime. The kids love this and you can theme it to a favorite character, blue for Elsa or lime green for Buzz!

3. Buy those Mickey-shaped foods in the freezer and grocery section of your local grocery store and have a Disney-themed lunch.

4. Watch one of the videos from Magic in The Kitchen, to create a Disney dish right in your own kitchen. Then when you get to Disney, compare and see if you could work for the kitchens of Disney!

5. Make a list of everyone’s favorite Disney, Pixar and Star Wars movies, and watch one each week until your trip.

6. Watch YouTube videos about the different rides at each park. Plan out which ones are on your must-do list!!

7. 60 days before your trip, have your Middle of the Magic Travel Planner make all your dining and activity reservations. Did you know you can have a 20 minute photo session scheduled with your family in Magic Kingdom? Did you know you can build your own droid and lightsaber to live your own Star Wars saga? Ask your planner for more information.

8. 30 days before your trip, make sure you have all your matching shirts and ears all ready to go, and your Magic Bands are ordered.

9. A week before, start packing. You can check out our agent Jacqueline’s packing tips here! If you are driving or flying, get those Disney movies ready for the journey. Create a playlist of your favorite Disney songs. Our favorite is Happily Ever After!

10. The night before your vacation, make Mickey or Minnie waffles for dinner, and then watch Disney fireworks videos on YouTube to fall asleep dreaming about the magic.

11. And finally, open your eyes, and then cross into the “Disney Bubble”! Start enjoying your vacation, and all the magic that awaits you!

No matter what kind of Disney vacation you have planned, make the time leading up to it magical. Immerse yourself in everything Disney. Then once you arrive, that magic will become real! Walking down Main Street to see the castle is the best feeling in the world! Take the leap into the magic that is Disney!
