Lately I’ve been getting the question: is there still character dining available? The answer is yes! Character dining looks a little different than what you remember, but it’s still magical, and still super fun and interactive for your kids. It’s the absolute best way of seeing the characters right now. Since Disney reopened in July 2020, my family and I have experienced tons of character dining for our three and five year old. It’s one of their favorite things to do when visiting! Here are our Top 3 Must-Do’s!

1. Chef Mickey’s! We’ve done character breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey’s. I feel it’s the most interactive fun dining experience we’ve had since Covid. The Fab Five Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto dance around the restaurant to music, and distance meet and greet with the children. Can you get pictures? Yes, it’s a little tricky but you can get pictures. The characters will stay in behind the children- socially distanced- and you can get some great pictures. They’re still as playful and fun as ever! We give this dining experience our number 1 rank!

2. Our second favorite is Cinderella’s Royal Table. There’s not a place on Earth my kids would rather dine. Right now, it’s only Cinderella, and she doesn’t come to the table. But she walks around the top of the restaurant, waving to everyone in her royal way. It’s still super magical, and you can get some distanced shots with her. The good news at this restaurant is that the prices are a little lower right now, due to the reduced character experience, so this may be your time to try this dining experience for less!

3. Our third choice is Topolino’s Terrace at the Rivera Resort . This French Rivera-themed restaurant has a character breakfast experience with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy dressed from in outfits unique to Topolino’s Terrace, and inspired by the Riviera and the arts. The food is a prix-fixe menu . The characters parade around restaurant and offer unique distanced meet and greets.
