Disney’s Skyliner connects EPCOT’s International Gateway to Hollywood Studios, as well as several resorts: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort offering an additional convenient transportation for a wide range of budgets from value to deluxe!
So how does it work and where can you hop on?
~ Hours of operation are posted at each station so be sure to check those for updates; however, they typically start running about an hour before park open and remain open until about an hour after park closing
~ 3 routes/lines: Caribbean Beach↔Pop Century/Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach↔Hollywood Studios, and Caribbean Beach↔EPCOT (with stop at Riviera) to send you soaring through the sky to your destination!
~ Skyliner Station Locations: Hourglass Lake (Pop Century/Art of Animation stop), Caribbean Beach (transfer station to/from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios), Riviera (guests can either stay in gondola or disembark), Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT (International Gateway entrance near France – where Boardwalk guests can also board)
Finally, let’s look at pros and cons:
~ Pros: convenient alternative to bus at several Disney Resorts and EPCOT/Hollywood Studios, you don’t have to fold up your single stroller, see Disney property from the air (can even catch fireworks somenights), EPCOT station is also conveniently located next to Boardwalk so convenient access to Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk Inn
~ Cons: can get warmer in the summer months if it stops unexpectedly, routine maintenance downtime each January, have to still break down a double stroller, can sometimes be paired with another group during peak hours, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea (especially if a fear of heights)
