There are so many perks to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort! From extra time in the parks to early access to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass selections, staying in the “Disney bubble” adds another layer of magic to an already amazing vacation! And 2025 is bringing a brand new perk that will start your trip off with a splash!

Guests arriving in 2025 can enjoy admission to one of Disney’s two water parks, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, on check-in day – included with your stay! Water park tickets are currently priced at $74 for ages 10+ and $68 per person for ages 3-9, so this is an offer you’ll want to take advantage of!

Discover Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach

Walt Disney World’s two signature water parks offer unique experiences perfect for families, thrill-seekers, or anyone looking to cool off. At Typhoon Lagoon, you’ll encounter a tropical paradise with a lazy river, water slides, and the largest wave pool in North America. On the other hand, Blizzard Beach invites you to experience the thrills of a “snowy” winter wonderland—featuring fast slides, the ski-lift-style chairlift, and a fun lazy river to float down after some high-speed excitement. Both parks are filled with experiences that can turn any day into a full-blown water adventure!

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon typically alternate operating dates so one park will be open no matter what time of year you travel. While schedules are always subject to change, Blizzard Beach is usually open from November through late March, while Typhoon Lagoon is open from late March through November. And if you’re traveling during the winter months, no worries! Both water parks, as well as resort hotel pools, are heated to 81 degrees year-round. Water parks may close due to inclement weather, and if a closing occurs on your arrival day, check your My Disney Experience account. One of our Middle of the Magic Travel agents had unusually cold weather hit Florida on her arrival day, and a voucher for water park admission was issued to her account, to be used within three days.

How to Take Advantage of a Water Park Arrival Day!

With this new water park perk, your arrival day just got even better! Here are a few tips to help you take full advantage of your arrival day water park visit!

Book an early flight!

I love an early morning flight so we can make the most of our first day of vacation, and with this new perk it makes even more sense to plan for a full day of fun on check-in day! If your hotel room isn’t ready when you arrive, Bell Services will be happy to store your luggage so you can head to the water park.

Pack a water park bag!

Make it easy to head straight from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to the water park by packing a water park bag before you leave home! Toss in all those pool essentials, like swimsuits, sunglasses, sunscreen, flip-flops, or water shoes. It’s also a good idea to pack a change of dry clothes so you don’t have to wear your wet swimsuits back to the hotel. No need to pack towels, since Disney Resort guests enjoy complimentary towel rentals at both water parks. Just stop by Singapore Sal’s at Typhoon Lagoon or High ‘N Dry Rentals at Blizzard Beach as you enter the park. You will need your Key to the World Card, Magic Band, or Magic Mobile to show you are a Disney Resort Hotel guest. Life jackets are complimentary for all water park guests, so you can save space in your suitcase and leave those at home!

Consider a split stay.

With 25+ Walt Disney World resort hotels there’s bound to be several you’d love to stay at, so why not book a split stay? Kick off your Walt Disney World vacation at one resort, then switch to another halfway through your trip. That means two check-in days, so two complimentary water park admissions! Perfect for some relaxation and downtime between theme park days. Not to mention you’ll get to experience two amazing resorts! Our Middle of the Magic Travel planners can help you navigate all the ins and outs of a split stay.

Ready to dive into the fun? This exciting water park perk is available exclusively to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, so let us help you book your stay today and make the most of every moment!
