New year, new experiences! Check out all that’s new to see and do across Disney destinations this year!
Beginning January 18th, the Magic Kingdom will be honoring Mickey and Minnie with “Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration”, including new birthday party outfits for their all-new meet & greet at Town Square Theater. Plus, there’s a new Move It! Shake It! Mousekedance It! Parade, where you can sing and dance with favorite Disney characters several times a day up and down Main Street USA! Also, be sure to catch the Dapper Dan’s new set, featuring classic Mickey songs, and look for special Mickey and Minnie-themed treats throughout the park.
Also beginning January 18th, Hollywood Studios celebrates its 30th anniversary, by bringing Pixar to all of you! There will be a new Incredibles Dance Party on Pixar Avenue. You can meet the one and only Edna Mode, plus Mike and Sully, and Cruz Ramirez. Head to Toy Story Land to meet Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie. And rev your engines this spring with a new Cars experience: Lightening McQueen’s Racing Academy!
Also beginning January 18th, over on the other coast, it’s time to “Get Your Ears On” at Disneyland Resort! A celebration of Mickey and Minnie will bring new entertainment, food and merchandise to the resort. “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will light up the night at Disneyland Park with all-new music, projections and lasers that set the scene for an epic dance party that takes over almost the entire park. And the party will get even bigger when Mickey’s Soundsational Parade returns to the resort featuring an all-new float with Mickey himself, who will lead the celebration down Main Street, U.S.A. And right now, there are some great deals available on springtime tickets and hotel deals at Disneyland!
Star Wars Day at Sea and Marvel Day at Sea both return aboard Disney Cruise Line this January through March, 2019. With exclusive gatherings of characters, epic deck shows, and lots of activities for the whole family, you won’t want to miss these specialty cruises!
Epcot International Festival of the Arts returns January 18th through February 25, 2019, and they are expanding their popular Disney on Broadway Concert Series to seven days a week! It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy performances from popular Disney Broadway shows- without the trip to New York! Plus, enjoy 13 Food Studios, fine art displays, demonstrations and workshops led by professional artists. And it’s all included with your Epcot admission!

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will return March 6 through June 3, 2019 at Walt Disney World. Enjoy a colorful collection of Disney-themed topiaries, delectable bites at outdoor kitchens, and the popular Garden Rocks concert series will be expanding to seven days a week! And it’s all included with your Epcot admission!
Debuting May 1 at Hollywood Studios is a new nighttime show, Wonderful World of Animation. Using state-of-the-art technology, this show will take you on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey.
H2O Glow Nights return to Typhoon Lagoon this year, on Thursday and Sunday nights May 30- August 24th. Featuring after dark fun, glowing pools and decor, a DJ dance party, a special menu and an adults-only cove, it makes the perfect add-on to your Walt Disney World vacation!
This summer, Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World will open its 15-story Gran Destino Tower, featuring brand-new hotel rooms and a rooftop restaurant. These rooms are available for booking now! This opening goes along with the complete refurbishment of all the rooms at Coronado Springs resort, and a new restaurant opening over the water of the resort’s 14-acre lake. This is sure to be the new must-stay hotel!
Also this summer, the Skyliner takes to the skies! The newest way to get around Walt Disney World property will be linking Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach Resort Hotels, plus the newest DVC property Disney’s Riviera Resort, as well as Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Opening this summer at Hollywood Studios is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the first-ever ride-through attraction featuring Mickey Mouse! Using brand-new technology, you will watch a 2-D drawing become 3-D- and you will get to enter the world of Mickey Mouse!
Summer 2019 brings the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, and Fall 2019 will be the opening at Walt Disney World! You will be able to explore the Black Spire Outpost, on the planet Batuu. Pilot the Milennium Falcon, take part in a epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance, and meet some out-of-this-world characters. This summer aboard Disney Cruise Line, you can find Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Party at Sea, an all-new high-energy deck party on the Disney Fantasy. Also, Disney Cruise Line returns to Hawaii this summer, and for the first time ever, will port in New Orleans!
Debuting this fall will be a limited-time experience Epcot fans will love, called Epcot Forever, a true celebration of this timeless park. Set to classic Epcot tunes, the show begins with a spark of imagination that quickly grows into an epic spectacle of fireworks, music, lighting, lasers, and choreographed, special-effects kites. Please note that this is replacing Illuminations: Reflections of Earth! So if you love this nighttime spectacular, you will want to see it one more time before it disappears forever!
Fall at Walt Disney World will bring the return of the favorite Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and the 24th Annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Disneyland will feature Mickey’s Halloween Party on select nights in September and October. Aboard Disney Cruise Line, Halloween on the High Seas cruises bring spooktacular fun for the whole family.
And winter sees the return of holiday celebrations at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and aboard Disney Cruise Line with their Very Merrytime Cruises.
