I’m often asked, “So what exactly do you DO for people who book their Disney trip with you?” And that’s an excellent question! I’ve given it a lot of thought, and for some people I become their travel planner, while for others I’m their travel advisor. What’s the difference? I’m glad you asked!
Many times, people reach out to me because they know they want to visit a Disney destination, but once they start the planning process they are overwhelmed.
● Which resort should we stay in?
● How many days should we spend in the parks?
● Which parks should we visit?
● Which days should we visit each park?
● What about park hopper?
● Which restaurants should we eat at?
● When can I book dining reservations?
● What in the world is Genie+?
● What is My Disney Experience?
● Where can my daughter build a lightsaber?
● How do I get around the resort?
● What’s a Magic Band and do I need one?
● Does my child need a stroller and where do I rent one?
(Is your head spinning yet?)
That’s when I’m a planner. As a travel planner I start by getting to know you, your travel party, and what you want out of your vacation. Do you want to pack in as much park time as possible, or are you looking for a more relaxing stay? Is meeting characters high on your wishlist or is pool time a high priority? Is taking time to enjoy meals important, or do you prefer to grab food on the run? Once I have a good picture of your family’s preferences, I can suggest the resort, ticket, and experiences that will make your dream vacation a reality!
And then the fun starts! Once the vacation package or tickets are booked, I’ll create a timeline of the decisions that need to be made and I’ll be there every step of the way to offer recommendations and answer any questions. I’m even available by text or phone call while you’re traveling – it’s like having a personal fairy godmother! It’s magic made easy!
But I also have clients who have visited the parks before and enjoy planning out their own trips. That’s when I take on the role of advisor. Already know you want to stay at the Polynesian? Great! I’ll show you the room types that are available and make sure you know about any construction that might impact your stay. Love to book your own dining reservations? No problem – I’ll pass it off to you and help out if you can’t find what you’re looking for. Are you a pro with Genie+? Then I’ll just send you any updates since the last time you visited. As an advisor I’m here to answer your questions, offer recommendations if you want them, and take over any of the tasks you don’t want to manage yourself.
So whether you need a planner, an advisor, or something in between the two, Middle of the Magic Travel has you covered! We’re here to offer whatever level of assistance you need to make your vacation exactly what you want it to be!
